Recipe #9: Beef Sliders

Published by Monique on

I am so excited to share this amazing Beef Slider recipe with you — my sweet Joel is the one who created it! I’m not just saying this because I’m madly in love with him, but it is one of the BEST burgers I’ve ever had! These juicy, flavorful patties have a secret ingredient that you won’t want to miss.

Ingredients:

85/15% grass-fed ground beef
Romaine lettuce leaves
Beefsteak tomato, sliced
King’s Hawaiian rolls
4 Havarti cheese cut into a 2 in square
4 Cheddar cheese cut into a 2 in square
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp red crushed pepper
2 tsp sea salt
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp black pepper

Special sauce
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp mayonnaise

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400 F and place a cast iron inside the oven.

Combine the ground beef with oregano, crushed red pepper, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl. Make sure seasonings are evenly distributed.

Make your patties: grab about 1 oz or half a palm full of meat, place a slice of havarti or cheddar cheese in the middle, and fold over until the patty is made and the cheese is fully inside the patty. There should be 8 small patties in total.

Place four patties on a a cast iron skillet and sear for 1 minute on each side.

Place the skillet with the patties in the oven for 2 minutes.

Bring the pan back out of the oven and set aside. Cook the other 4 patties.

Get ready to prepare your sliders! Toast your rolls, lay out the tomatoes, wash the lettuce, and make the special sauce (it is so good and it’s pretty much what every restaurant uses for their burgers).

Pile your sliders high (and if you’re like me, you’ll add more cheese). Devour away!

These were so delicious, affordable and easy to make (or easy to watch your boyfriend make hehe). We had them during the Seahawks game this past weekend (LET’S GO HAWKS!) and they made the perfect weekend game day noms!
