Restaurant Review: Vegas Concessions

Published by Monique on

There’s a new truck in town and you are going to love it. It’s located in the patio of one of the best bars on east 6th street, Hotel Vegas.

Let’s talk about their corn dogs. House made batter, polish sausage, and hot mustard OF YOUR DREAMS. This was my favourite thing on the menu, because who makes a good corndog anymore?!

Next up is their street corn. Sweet, salty and zesty. It was something extraordinary!

Behold the beloved cheeseburger. Not too greasy, perfect grilled flavor, and the fluffiest bun ever. YES PLEASE!

Beer battered onion rings – so damn delicious! I’m a huge onion ring fan and these are my favourite in town (Eureka reigned number one for them but they no longer make them!)

Can’t forget the tasty hot and spicy chicken tenders, served with crisp french fries, house made ranch, and butter pickles!

Don’t think I forgot about the drinks. We enjoyed a blackberry gin cocktail that was perfect for the summer heat from the Volstead bar.

Oh, and I had to try Volstead’s El Jimador frozen margarita! Not too sweet or too tart – just how I like it! Stay tuned for daily specials like 2-1 burgers and steak night. Also, Vegas Concessions’ upcoming fall menu will feature some great items:

Frito Pie Dog — Niman RanchBeef Hotdog on a Bolillo Roll with Chili, House-Pickled Jalapeños, Cheddar & Frito Crumble
Texas Shepherd’s Pie — Spicy Chorizo with roasted Vegetables and Cheddar Mashed Potatoes, Herb & Corn Chip Crust (Vegetarian version also available)
Hot Mess Fries- Crispy  Spice-Dusted French Fries with Green Chili Queso, (option to add Bacon, Chorizo Chili,  or Veggie Chili)
