Sunset Eats at Shack 512

There’s a new spot in town that have the views AND the noms to make you swoon! Nestled right on the lake, Shack 512 is bringing real culinary cuisine to the lake scene. In my personal experience, lake food isn’t always the tastiest. Shack 512 has majorly changed that!

You have to start the evening off with some bbq pulled pork nachos and jalapeno mexican martinis. Nachos are great and all, but these are totally elevated using in house smoked pork and toooons of queso and spicy pico! We also tried the fried green beans served with spicy aioli and bacon wrapped jalapeno shrimp. I love that Shack 512 isn’t afraid to add some kick!

Next up is the Texas chicken alfredo with freshly-breaded chicken breast served with penne pasta & topped with their Texas alfredo sauce. This was definitely my favorite dish – so comforting and delicious.

Steak kabobs with grilled veggies are a must-have on any patio, but these are killer! Seasoned perfectly and served with a sweet bourbon glaze. Yuuummm-o.

Don’t forget to refreshen your drink – try one of their super fresh house made margaritas. You can taste the difference in that they make their own sweet and sour mix along with tons of fresh lemon, not lime. Drinking it while the sun sets isn’t a bad idea, either.

Last but not least, S’MORES! You can roast marshmallows as the sun sets and make the most perfect s’mores. I don’t know if it was the fire or the chocolate and strawberries, but it was soooo romantic doing this with my boo Joel! I can’t wait to go back for more amazing treats soon (I’m looking at you, cheeseburger).
