Omakase Menu at Soto on South Lamar

Published by Monique on

There are few words to explain how extraordinary the omakase menu is at Soto. I will let the pictures do most of the talking because they are true pieces of art!

We started out with a beautiful oyster shot with caviar and spicy ponzu.

Next is a Chilean sea bass soup that blew my mind. The flavors were comforting and astounding. They pour hot water around the soup which is layered with mint and really awakens the senses.

Hamachi toro tartare on a massive block of ice. It was just phenomenal! Delicious and again, a true piece of art.

Lobster tempura flowers. Beautiful, inventive, scrumptious.

Here come the nigiri! I don’t remember the exact fish but I remember the melt in your mouth feeling.

Mushroom sushi. Everything I could ever want.

This was truly mind blowing – potato chip toro sushi. Sooo much fun and such a delicious treat!

Grilled Chilean sea bass with crispy garlic and ginger, citrus soy sauce, asparagus and shitakii mushroom shavings.

This is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Seriously.

Seared wagyu with creamy risotto and tons of fresh truffle shavings. Incredibly rich, indulgent and special.

And for dessert, a matcha layered crepe cake with berries. Isn’t she beautiful?
