Beer-Inspired Cuisine at The Brewer’s Table

Published by Monique on

One of the most anticipated restaurants is finally open – The Brewer’s Table is creating incredible dishes that change with the seasons. I was pleasantly surprised with how many of the dishes were plant-based, full of fresh herbs, and incredibly light.

We started with some snacks for the table including smoked fish dip, puffed lager chicharrones, fresh peaches, and epozote salad. I loved the variety of flavors, textures and fresh herbs. Also pictured is the venison tartare with toasted sonoran wheat, sourdough pita, fermented herbs and toasted brewer’s yeast. This was one of my favourites! The meat was tender and the accompaniments were perfect. The swordfish belly lardo has peach and turnip, spring onion toffee and annato – they look like mini spring rolls and are incredibly fresh!

The shareable feast comes with three sides and feeds two to three people. We ordered the evening special: red snapper with summer vegetables and a guajillo sauce. The sides that evening were barley tabouleh and smoked tomatoes with marinated cucumber, marble potato salad with pickled mustard seeds, and charred green beans with tomato emulsion and pickled onions. It was as good as it looks (or maybe even better). We can’t forget about their amazing cocktails! The Saison D’etre was my favourite – made with aviation gin, saison chamomile syrup, hop honey, and lemon.

They also have a fabulous happy hour from 2:30 – 6pm every weekday.
Their regular hours are 11am — 10pm from Sunday to Thursday and 11am — 11pm on Friday & Saturday.
