Just Opened: New York Style Tavern in East Austin
I AM SO EXCITED that Murray’s Tavern is now open!!!! 🍸
The masterminds behind so many beloved local spots (Via 313 Juniper Nickel City) have officially opened their newest concept, Murray’s Tavern. Think NY meets Ausitn in the best way. The classic style New York tavern is thoughtfully designed with lots of seating and cozy lighting.
And of course lots of delicious food options. I loved the fresh oysters but the fish n chips were my fave!! I also enjoyed the beef & cheddar and the crab cake sandwich. Truly can’t go wrong with ordering any dish on the menu in this stunning tavern.
They have tons of other great menu items like pancetta and corn chowder bread bowl (an ode to the previous owners, Gourmand’s) plus chicken francese and tagliatelle with black truffles! You can expect fun cocktails like the brandy alexander and the rob roy. Tavern classics! I personally loved the Oaxacan Prayer… because mezcal.
