Published by Monique on

Gooey, fluffy, sweet, and irresistible cinnamon rolls are EASY with this recipe! It’s perfect for cold weather days, for sharing with friends and family, and it’s a staple in our house on Christmas morning.

Ingredients:

For the rolls:
16 oz dough (you can totally cheat and use store-bought frozen dough)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
3 tbsp cinnamon
1/3 cup melted butter
flour for dusting

For the icing:
1 block of room temperature cream cheese
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Sprinkle some flour on your counter and roll out dough with a rolling pin. You can also gently pick up and stretch the dough with your hands.

Once the dough is an even thickness all the way through and rectangular in shape, brush butter onto dough. then sprinkle the brown sugar all across in an even layer, leaving about 1/4 inch all around the dough to help prevent leaking.

Repeat with white sugar and cinnamon. Slowly roll the dough tightly until the ends have met. Gently pinch the ends together. Cut evenly into two inch pieces (there should be 8 in total).

Line a baking sheet or a springform pan with parchment paper and place rolls evenly apart. Cover with a towel and let rest on the counter for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350 and bake for 15-18 minutes. While the rolls are baking, make your icing by beating icing ingredients in a bowl with an electric hand mixer. Remove the rolls from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and cover with icing (and then devour). Enjoy!
