Brunch at Chicon

Published by Monique on

Some people love brunch just for the booze, but I love brunch for the amazing noms! Chicon is bringing it with their large brunch menu and amazing dishes, pastries, and more!

The apple pie kolache is something from another world. It’s gooey and soft and all the things you want in a pastry. I could eat this daily (but I won’t). The banana bread is also amazing and comes with a pumpkin spice butter. It’s the perfect blend of sweet and salty. And if you’re wanting something really savory, grab the herbed brioche monkey bread. It’s all things beautiful, flavorful and warm.

Now onto the realllllyyyyyy good stuff. Prepare yourselves for what’s to come.

Hopefully you’ve caught your breath from all the food beauty. You just feasted your eyes on the pulled pork benedict, migas plate, breakfast sandwich, all american plate, smoked fish taco, and kimchi deviled eggs. Oh, and lots of coffee + mimosas. Everything was delicious – perfectly flavored, well cooked, and beautifully presented! I ate (ok, devoured) the pulled pork benedict which I very much loved. The hollandaise had a perfect lemony touch and the eggs were poached just how I like them. The pork fell apart in the best way, and those caramelized onions… yuuuumm. Pro tip: add a side of avocado – look at how fresh and nicely sliced it is! Close ups of the deviled eggs, brekkie sammie, and pork benny are below.
