Fresh Raw Bar at Turf ‘N Surf

Published by Monique on

The amazing food at Turf ‘N Surf inside Lavaca Street Bar isn’t just quesadillas and po’boys… they have an INCREDIBLE, vast, and freakin fresh raw bar! I was delighted to taste so much of the raw bar menu and share it with all of you!

First up we have the lump crab stack with ripe avocado and tons of chopped cucumber, peppers, onions and cilantro. A bunch of fresh lemon juice and a couple of tortilla chips rounds out this as one of their most popular dishes!

These ahi tuna poké lettuce wraps are friggin awesome. The sesame dressing drizzled on top makes this even more incredible! I could’ve eaten this whole tray.

These are the blackened tuna tacos with fresh spinach and cilantro-ranch dressing. I could eat these everyday.

The shrimp and scallop ceviche was salty and fresh and all that bright green avocado on top takes it to the next level.

Another stack of raw fish is fine by me. This is the spicy tuna tower with avocado, chopped veggies, and lots of spice!

Although the raw bar is phenomenal, they have other amazing menu items, like these shrimp n grits! This was one of my fave things on the menu. Cheesy, spicy, huge gulf shrimp, and a side of cajun collard greens + coleslaw! (PS it makes great leftovers).

We just HAD to get the chicken wings.. These are their sweet ‘n spicy Asian saucy wings and they’re perfect. Turf ‘N Surf can really do no wrong.

Chicken fried chicken taken to a new level with perfectly tender meat, lotsa flavorful gravy, fluffy mashed potatoes, a side cobb salad and cajun rice and beans. SO DANG YUMMY.

This mac n cheese with crawfish was so good that we all agreed it would’ve won the Mac N Cheese contest had it been entered. Incredibly cheesy noodles, tender crawfish, and just the right amount of spice. I want this at every meal.

Last but not least, the steak special on Wednesday night is a MUST. You get a massive ribeye, loaded baked potato, and side salad for only $20!!!! If all the amazing raw bar items above don’t get you in the door, this should.
