8 Track on East Manor

Published by Monique on

There’s a new neighborhood bar in town for all my East Manor friends and I’m in love with it! 8 Track is a passion project between a group of friends who wanted a to create a spot where you can get great food, drinks and play retro games. I had the opportunity to try a few tasty items on their menu that’s beams old school with a twist.

Let’s start with the chicken and churros. It comes with fried chicken oysters drizzled with chili honey and sweet cinnamon churros. This blend of sweet and spicy was incredible! We finished the whole basket within minutes. Next up is the amaaaazing crab cake corn dogs with fresh lump crab, masa tempura, spicy remoulade and a pepper jelly that is straight up addictive. This was my favourite thing I had there! You’ll have to go and try it for yourself.

We also had their in-house smoked salmon filets with naan bread and tangy house made tzatziki sauce. I loooved how fresh this dish was! The smoky salmon with fresh greens and soft bread was a great contrast. It’s a perfect meal for anytime of the day. We also had their “famous” big pork schnitzel with fresh greens and roasted potatoes. The pork was so tender we didn’t even need a knife. The schnitzel is drizzled in brown butter and pancetta gastrique which makes it even more delicious! It’s a huge portion that two could easily share.
